Vicky Kaushal talks about his humble beginnings, getting born in a chawl in Malwani Malad, Says 'Was Aware Nothing Will Come Easy'.

From a chawl, we moved to a one room kitchen, then to a 1 BHK, and then to a 2 BHK. That struggle was never hidden at home. So, I was aware of that flip side, knowing that nothing will come easy."

Vicky Kaushal is one of those few actors who ventured into acting after completing a degree. He did his engineering before venturing into acting as his parents wanted him to have a secure job.

Talking about his parents' reaction when he told them he wanted to be an actor, Vicky said, "I told him that my intentions are this, and this is not the reason why I want to join the industry because you are part of it. I enjoy it; it makes me happy. But then he said, 'If your reason is that, then try. Please do what you wish to, but finish your education first.' His point was that I should complete my education before pursuing anything."
